Tamnavulin Red Wine Cask Edition 的釀製過程中，首先將麥芽儲存於之前用來陳釀卡本內蘇維濃的木桶中。之後，這些麥芽再次結合，進行統一的陳釀過程，並使用波本桶進行最後的調和。這樣的陳釀過程賦予了該酒獨特的風味特點。

威廉姆斯（DEW）的姓名縮寫，他曾擔任該酒廠的總經理並成為後來的所有者。1954年，原始酒廠關閉，威士忌庫存減少，該品牌於1960年代被愛爾蘭另一家蒸餾酒廠John Powers＆Son收購，並在1970年代轉移到了科克郡的Midleton酒廠，這家酒廠合併了愛爾蘭的三家主要釀酒廠。
