Slavery some of which is exposedVery rare item; at the rise of Cromwell and the Presbtyerians Westminster Assembly of Divines, moves were made to bring the universites under the Negative Oath and Solemn League and Covenant's influence. Cambridge had long been a Puritan strong hold. Oxford, not so much. The present rare tractate, argued by important faculty and leadership at Oxford, argues against compliance with the Covenant and the influence of the Cromwellian Parliament.
