Giganotosaurus, tooth Stegosaurus Wyoming & MontanaGiganotosaurus and Pronounced (JIG ah NOT oh SAWR us) meaning "giant southern reptile" it was one of the largest meat eating dinosaurs. This theropod was slightly longer than T. rex. It was about 43 ft (13 m) long and weighed roughly 8 tons. It lived during the mid Cretaceous period, about 100 95 million years ago. Its fossil was unearthed in the Patagonia region of Argentina (in southern Argentina) in 1994. This fossil replica is from the largest
